Flexographic Press Operator
GENERAL PURPOSE: Set up, operate, and maintain a multicolor Flexographic press including Mark Andy’s, and Webtrons, using UV water base inks. Manage all aspects of press performance including productivity, quality and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures that product is printed according to specifications.
- Pulls job tickets and verifies stock, inks, and dies are available and used as specified.
- Performs line clearance by following line clearance SOP.
- Sets up machine; installs aniloxes, inks, correct stock, die, and plates.
- Sets impressions and registers print-to-print and print-to-die.
- Completes all start-up checks, verifies scan ability of bar code, and gets start approval.
- Completes in-process inspections; follows work instructions and control plan.
- Finishes job by verifying end to start approval.
- Closes out job by completing paperwork and placing in ticket with product.
- Performs general maintenance to press.
- Follows 5S guidelines assigned to work area and surrounding areas.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Machine Technician
GENERAL PURPOSE: The principal function of this position is service support for new and existing applicator equipment business and manufacturing equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Servicing printers, applicators and manufacturing equipment as needed
- Prompt responses to customer needs
- Nurture and manage accounts as liaison for sales growth
- General networking
- Record details of service in software system for proper record keeping and billing
- Research and understand market technology
- Communicate regularly with the sales director
- Local and national travel as needed
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Must have previous technical experience. Experience with machinery is not required however preferred. Must have general networking skills, basic electronics and PLC skills, with strong interpersonal skills working within a team environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Competent electronics and PLC skills
- Experience with diagnosing and servicing mechanical equipment
- Effective and professional oral and written communication skills
- Basic general networking skills
- Ability to perform functions with limited direction
- Perform multiple tasks
- Must be able to work within a team environment
- Committed to development, training, and continuous improvement
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Must be reliable
- Computer knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and manage accounts using a CRM.
