Students at UQAM were asked to create a wine bottle label using a single piece of paper. While this design, in particular, may not be completely practical for your brand, the artistry is quite inspiring. Label embossing is showcased creating texture up against the bottle. The cascading folds of paper also create a lot of interest and take the product appear to be much larger than it actually is. Yet neither takes away the focus from the other. This is an excellent example of balance in an extremely eye-catching design.

This design appears to use tactile screen, however, embossing also creates this captivating texture. The map-like design of the vineyards really drives home the tactile topographical effect. Foiling is another technique used on this label, showcased on the signature. The minimalistic design further emphasizes the techniques used in an elegant way.
