Oftentimes cosmetic packaging is synonymous with luxury style. These labels ooze luxury with one classic labeling technique. Foiling. We previously looked at cosmetics as a whole with foiling. Now we’re focussing in on fragrance packaging with foiling.
L’Artisan Fragrance Packaging With Foiling Designed By Anja Bošnjak
This fragrance distills its fragrance down to an emotion. The emotion shown, which translates to “I radiate,” utilizes warm tones. The foiling on the bottle label is even more fitting considering the theme. The minimalistic label creates an elegant touch. The logo being foiled creates a luxury design. Having “Je rayonne” foiled would create a cohesive look this high-end product.
FORTEM Perfume Designed By Dang Vo & Yen Vy Vo
The goal of this project was to design a luxury perfume package using unconventional objects. Obviously, the inspiration, in this case, comes from nuts and bolts. The gold details on both the package and the label create a strong, sophisticated look. The label is small and minimalistic. This ultimately creates more of a color pop between the gold background and the black bottle. While the above example is delicate, this product exudes boldness. This is the perfect example of the flexibility of foiling.
Black Magic Cosmetic Line Designed By Christine Hall
Black Magic uses Wiccan/mystic motifs to create a dynamic line. The foiled lid on the small container is a perfect example of how foiling can compliment fragrance packaging design. While the package itself may or may not feature foil, this label adds a pop of color from the other end of the color wheel. Including foiling on the label of the product would not only compliment this lid, but break up the violet.
