Today we’re looking at creative ways these home goods’ packaging designs break the mold. The principles of what makes these concepts great can be applied to your own work too!
Elbow Grease Home Goods’ Packaging Designed By Jaclyn Merk
These products are segmented into three categories. As you may be able to tell by the design, the plaid colors separate the kitchen products from the bathroom products and from the items for surfaces. This is an original way to create an immediate understanding of which items serves which purpose. The bold, large text also enhances the eye-catching factor of the labels.
Paint Can Labels Designed By Yeonsu Oh
With the beetle nail color trend of last summer, it’s no surprise that this scheme is represented on this paint can label. The label on top of the lid provides clarity on which color is inside. The details of the floor and stool top on the side label also communicate this, but the bold scheme used on the rest of the image creates a dynamic look. It also shows customers how their particular hue will compliment other colors.
Clorox Redesign By Haeshin Jo
Inspired by millennials general aesthetic, this Clorox redesign focusses on simplicity. It also creates a clean look, which is obviously quite apropos. The bleach uses embossing to showcase the brand name. If used throughout the line’s label design, this labeling technique creates a cohesive look. The vibrant fire engine red is another nice touch to creating designs that stand apart from its competition.
